The Criminal Law Group is kicking off the new semester by teaming up with the Feminist Legal Forum to host a panel discussion on women and the law!

Please join us on Thursday, January 11th at 12pm in Moot B to gain insight on various professional and personal issues facing women in the law today.

Panelists:

Lisa LaBossiere: associate at Myers Weinberg, practicing primarily in the areas of Criminal Defence and Child Protection.

Jodi Kauffman: past criminal defence lawyer and current Crown prosecutor with extensive experience in youth criminal matters.

Natasha Brown: Legal Director at the Legal Help Centre, a not-for-profit organization which helps disadvantaged members of our community access, exercise, and enforce their legal and social rights.

Trish Faurschou: Trish joined the Office of Legal Counsel at the U of M in May of 2017. Prior to joining the University, she was an associate at a large Western Canadian law firm where she practiced primarily commercial litigation.

The CLG is excited to join forces with FLF to bring what will be an informative and lively discussion. Hope to see you there!
